If you skim through any digital news site, msnbc, msn, cnn. there are multiple subjects the news media have deemed ‘newsworthy’. The key to perusing all of these subjects is the ability to learn to ‘pick the meat’ and leave the bones. More often then not, I do not read the article itself but merely the headlines. Time is of an essence when you research as much as I do. I stay away from ‘slide-news’ which has you looking at several things before mentioning the article that enticed you to look in the first place. They have a term for it, click-bait.

Recently, I have experimented with avoiding the news entirely. Some is going to seep through anyway but for the most part while I didn’t miss anything, I wasn’t enlightened by it either.
